Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable for the fourth consecutive day on 17 Jan’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 33,000/t ($381/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices held steady in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Coupled with this, moderate trade activity in scrap prompted suppliers to uphold stable pricing for their offers today.
