Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 8 Jan’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 34,000/t ($396/t) ex-yard. Demand for semi-finished and finished steel held steady in yesterday’s session and market stability in the backdrop of moderate scrap trade activities led suppliers to keep their price offers unchanged today.
