In CY’24, Pakistan’s non-coking coal imports totalled 7.49 mnt, a significant 28% increase over CY’23. South Africa was the dominant supplier, providing 3.45 mnt, a remarkable 91% growth y-o-y. Indonesia, however, saw a decline of 44%, with shipments dropping to 1.67 mnt. Meanwhile, coal exports from the US to Pakistan soared to 0.73 mnt in CY’24.
