Bangladesh’s non-coking coal imports up 4% y-o-y in CY’24

Bangladesh’s total non-coking coal imports rose by 4% y-o-y to 13.25 mnt in CY’24, as per BigMint data. Indonesia continued to be the dominant supplier with 11.98 mnt, followed by South Africa with 0.84 mnt. The increase in imports indicates consistent demand from Bangladesh’s energy and industrial sectors.
