Iranian steel billet prices held firm at $444/t compared to 27 Dec’24, with an Iranian steel exporter (Khouzestan Steel Company) concluding an export tender for 50,000 t at $443/t FOB. Reportedly, shipment is scheduled for Feb’25. Iran’s semi-finished steel exports in the first eight months (21 Mar’24-20 Nov’24) of the current Persian year stood at 3.84 mnt, a decrease of 22% y-o-y, according to data from Petrometals.
