Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 28 Dec’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 34,500/t ($404/t) ex-yard. In yesterday’s trading session, moderate trade activities were observed for both semi-finished and finished steel in the region. This, coupled with moderate trade activity for scrap, led suppliers to maintain stable prices today.
