Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable for the second consecutive day on 27 Dec’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) was at INR 34,500/t ($404/t) ex-yard. Though semi-finished steel prices fell in yesterday’s trading session in the region, moderate buying inquiries for scrap by Bhavnagar-based IF steel mills prompted suppliers to keep their offers stable today.
