China: Steel billet prices inch up by RMB 20/t ($3/t)

Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan edged up by RMB 20/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,060/t ($419/t) on 23 Dec’24 against 20 Dec. Prices include 13% VAT.
An increase in finished steel prices, rebar futures, and restocking activity before the Lunar New Year holidays supported billet tags.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) rose RMB 11/t ($2/t) to RMB 3,290/t ($451/t) on 23 Dec against 20 Dec.
