India’s ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 17 Dec’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,500/t ($406/t) ex-yard. Despite the rise in semi-finished and finished steel prices in the region during yesterday’s trading session, overall trade activity remained moderate. This, along with average scrap trade activity, contributed to suppliers maintaining stable offer prices today.
