The Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has granted Rungta Sons environmental clearance to increase its iron ore production at Sanindpur mines, Odisha, to 22.9 mnt/y from 19.7 mnt/y. The project involves handling 26.827 mnt/y of material, including 20.85 mnt/y of ROM iron ore, 2.085 mnt/y of low-grade ore, and 3.892 mnt/y of waste. The company has a mining lease area of 147.10 Ha.
