Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 7 Dec’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stand at INR 34,600/t ($409/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 100-300/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session and average trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
