Chinese steel export surged by 6.3% Y-o-Y, however, reported a fall of 9% M-o-M in Apr’16.
As per the Chinese custom data, steel export from the nation surged by 6.3% to 9.08 MnT in Apr’16 as compared to Apr’15 despite trade measures being taken by the various countries during last one year.
However, on monthly premises, export reported a fall of 9% during Apr’16.
On a cumulative basis, steel export during Jan-Apr’16 reached to 36.9 MnT, has up by 7.6% Y-o-Y.
Chinese steel prices have been moving downward slowly since last one week, after continuous rally seen during past two months.
Currently, Chinese rebar and wire rod offers are assessed at USD 415/MT and USD 425/MT respectively, have down by USD 5/MT W-o-W.
