India: SMIORE’s manganese ore output declines by 5% q-o-q in Q2FY’25

Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores (SMIORE) recorded manganese ore production of 81,000 t in Q2FY’25, a drop of 5% from Q1FY’25. Sales of the same decreased significantly by 72% y-o-y.
Ferro alloys production stood at 7,055 t in Q2FY’25, up by 9% from 6,464 t in Q1FY’25. However, sales decreased sharply by 37% to 5,944 t in Q2FY’25 compared to 9,396 t in Q1FY’25.
The Ferro alloys segment continues to underperform due to its interdependence on the Coke and Energy segment.
