Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published a tender for purchase of 296,000 MT coal in 4 shipments of 74,000 MT each. The bid price should be on FoB basis. The loading of the coal is scheduled from Jun’16 to Jul’16.
Each shipment of coal to be delivered by the bidder shall be from a single mine with annual production record of 10 MnT. Supply of coal for any shipment from more than one mine is not allowed.
The offer will be valid for the period of 3 business days from the date of tender closing. KOSPO can request the bidder to extend validity period of bid, if necessary.
Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country,
to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.

Fixed carbon (Air dried basis): 60% max
Ash (Air dried basis): 4.5% max
Net calorific value (As received basis): 3,700 kcal/kg min
Ash fusion temperature: 1,050°C min

The bid document should arrive before 14:00 hrs on 9 May’16 (Korean Standard Time).
