Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market fell by INR 200/t d-o-d on 14 Nov’24, according to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,500/t ($409/t) exy. Semi-finished steel prices dropped by around INR 400-600/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session due to limited demand. Additionally, average trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
