India: 20,000 t booked in Vedanta’s iron ore auction from Karnataka

Vedanta auctioned 20,000 t of iron ore from its A.Narrain mines, Karnataka, on 6 Nov’24. Sources informed:

• 8,000-t lumps (6-20 mm, Fe 53%) booked at base price INR 3,100/t
• 4,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 51.5%) booked at INR 2,860/t against base price INR 2,800/t
• 8,000-t siliceous lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 50.5-52%) booked at INR 2,570/t against base price INR 2,500/t

Prices are on ex-mines/ex-lot basis, excluding royalty, DMF, and NMET.
