After a fall in prices for eleven consecutive weeks coking coal prices remained unchanged on account of low-buying interest.
Offers for Premium Low-Vol and Mid-Vol is constant at $140.50/MT and $124.50/MT with no change in the prices and that of Premium HCC is at $148.70/MT.
In India, offers for premium HCC was heard offered at $148/MT (FOB Australia) on Supramax basis. “There are hardly any buyers in the market, everyone is waiting for a leader who could start buying”, said a trader in India.
Buyers in the market are waiting for a price drop before buying the material the source added.
