Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including Pig iron, flat and long products and special steels at its plants spread over India.
The company issued a domestic tender for purchase and transportation of 2,750 MT manganese ore to SAIL CFP, Chandrapur. The validity of the bids is 60 days from the date of techno-commercial opening for full quantity which is to be supplied within one month from the date of issue purchase order/LOA.
Company has reserves the right to either open the sealed price bid of technically shortlisted bidders or may conduct reverse auction for price bid.

Basis of chemical analysis: Dry basis
Bidder shall arrange to dispatch the manganese ore by road/rail on door delivery basis. Loading, unloading & transportation of the material shall be arranged by the bidder.
Tender schedule
The due date for tender submission and techno-commercial opening is scheduled on 18 May’16 at 15:00 hrs and 10:30 hrs respectively.
