Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 300/t d-o-d on 29 Oct’24, as per BigMint’s assessment, with HMS (80:20) at INR 33,500/t ($398/t) exy. Deals in the semi-finished and finished steel segments increased in yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
