Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d on 28 Oct’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 33,200/t ($395/t) ex-yard. A moderate number of transactions were observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region during the previous trading session. Additionally, decent buying activities for scrap from Bhavnagar-based mills prompted suppliers to maintain stable prices today.
