Prices of flat steel in retail outlet have declined again with further discount offers on bulk purchases in the range of Rs
750-2000/ton.
Currently the offer for HRC in Ludhiana is at Rs 40,500/ton
with a decline of Rs 1500/ton whereas in Ahmedabad it is at Rs 42,750/ton, down
by Rs 500/ton. In Hyderabad it is coming at Rs 42,000/ton.
There are mixed sentiments prevailing in the market.

from Ludhiana said, “there are chances that the prices might drop further with another Rs 500-1000/ton.”
According to another source from Delhi, “the market should remain constant in the upcoming days. And if
quality control norms tighten further, we might see less imports to be seen in India”.
