China’s unwrought aluminium exports fall by 5% m-o-m in Sep’24

According to BigMint’s data, China’s unwrought aluminium and aluminium product exports fell 5.4% from 590,000 t in Aug’24 to 560,000 t in Sep’24. However, in 9MCY’24, exports increased by 15% to 4.91 mnt from 4.26 mnt in 9MCY’23. Additionally, aluminium supply is expected to remain tight due to China’s self-imposed production cap of 45 mnt, which limits capacity and sustains market deficits in the foreseeable future.
