BHP, Carbon Clean, JSW Steel partner to explore large-scale decarbonisation technology

BHP, Carbon Clean, and JSW Steel have signed a joint study agreement to explore deploying Carbon Clean’s CycloneCC modular system, as part of efforts to advance carbon capture technology for decarbonisation in steelmaking. This project aims to capture up to 100,000 t of CO2 emissions annually, with studies concluding by 2026. If successful, JSW plans to install the technology at its Vijayanagar plant.
