- In Aug’24, Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports reached 107,207 t, a 15.6% increase m-o-m from 92,737 t in Jul’24.
- Imports rose by 3% y-o-y from 103,533 t in August 2023.
- During 8MCY’24, total scrap imports were 0.62 mnt, a 13% decrease from 0.71 mnt in the CPLY.
- Hong Kong was the largest exporter to Indonesia, shipping 33,930 t, followed by Japan with 26,564 t and Australia with 21,008 t.
