Bellary’s pellet (Fe 63%) prices increased significantly by INR 500/t ($6/t) to INR 10,600/t ($126/t) exw today compared to 4 Oct’24. Deals of around 23,000 t were concluded at INR 10,200-10,800/t ($121-129/t). It is believed that NMDC’s price hike kept pellet prices in the region supported. Meanwhile, sponge iron (PDRI) prices also rose INR 500/t ($6/t) w-o-w to INR 27,800/t ($331/t) exw.
