Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 200/t d-o-d on 7 Oct’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 35,300/t ($420/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel increased in last trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
