Pig Iron output reduced by 3.3% to 91 million metric tonnes in August this year as compared to July and is down by 1.1% yoy.
China was world's leading producer of Pig Iron in August with 59% of the total contribution i.e. 53.7 million metric tons. As compared to August 2011, China's output is down by 0.4% in August this year.
Pig Iron production increased by 1.6% to 746.3 million metric tonnes from Jan to August 2012 in comparison to the same period of 2011.
