Australian miners kept their offers unchanged for coking coal to India, said industry sources. Miners are in no hurry to cut prices further and prefer to wait till Chinese buyers return to market after national holidays (starting next week).
Current offers for hard coking coal stands at around $155/t CFR India, where as $140/t FOB Australia.
Australian miners hold offers on rising coal prices in Chinese market and anticipate momentum to continue post holidays.
On the other hand strong Rupee has given advantage to Indian buyers.With appreciating Rupee against dollar in coming weeks will boost imports said sources.
