Bellary’s pellet (Fe63%) prices increased by INR 100/t ($1/t) to INR 9,450/t ($113/t) exw on 24 Sep’24 compared to 20 Sep. Deals of 50,000 t concluded at increased offers of INR 9,400-9,600/t ($112-115/t) also with few transactions recorded at previous offers. The price rise was largely driven by increase in sponge iron and iron ore prices following the recent auction in Karnataka.
