Ferro silicon (Si:70%) prices in Bhutan increased by INR 2,200/t w-o-w to INR 91,200/t ex-works on 20 Sep’24, driven by higher offers following the suspension of operations at a plant in Meghalaya, with some trades reported at elevated levels. In Guwahati, prices rose by INR 900/t w-o-w. Market reports suggest that the closed plants may resume operations by next week.
