India: Tata Steel commissions country’s largest blast furnace at Kalinganagar

Tata Steel has successfully commissioned India’s largest blast furnace at Kalinganagar, Odisha. With a total investment of INR 27,000 crore, Tata Steel will expand its existing crude steel production capacity at the Kalinganagar plant from 3 mtpa to 8 mtpa. The new blast furnace will enable the company to meet rising demand across industries such as automotive, infrastructure, power, and shipbuilding.
