China’s coal output rises 2.8% y-o-y in Aug’24

China’s coal output grew 2.8% y-o-y to 400 mnt in Aug’24, maintaining the same growth rate as in Jul’24, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
Coal output for Jan-Aug’24 was 3.05 bnt, down by 0.3% y-o-y from the CPLY.
Coke output in Jan-Aug’24 stood at 324.78 mnt, down by 0.4% y-o-y from the CPLY.
