Pakistan’s thermal coal imports remained relatively stable in Aug’24, experiencing only a marginal dip of 2% m-o-m to 0.57 mnt from 0.58 mnt in Jul’24.
In terms of exporting countries, South Africa led with 0.31 mnt, while Tanzania’s volumes fell m-o-m to 0.06 mnt.
However, imports were down 15% y-o-y from 0.67 mnt in Aug’23.
