Recently, Tata Steel had commenced production of Tata Ferroshots at its Kalinganagar steel plant. The company has commercially launched this product in India for the 1st time. It is anticipated that this product will be a game changer in the metallic industry.
Basically, Tata Ferroshots is granulated Pig iron or iron droplets solidified by cooling in water.
How it is different from Pig iron

Secondly, it is of small size i.e 5-25 mm, thus large surface area, indicating that it consumes less heat when undergoes for melting procedure.
Tata’s last offers were heard at INR 18,500/MT ex-Kalinganagar. However, fresh offers are yet to be opened in days to come.
