Brazil: Iron ore exports fall by 8% y-o-y in Aug’24

Brazil’s iron ore exports fell by 8% y-o-y to 34.31 mnt in Aug’24 compared to 37.32 mnt in Aug’23, as per Customs data.
Export volumes decreased, too, by 13% m-o-m as against 39.31 mnt in July.
The average price of iron ore shipped from Brazil stood at $71.8/t FOB in August, down y-o-y compared to $76.5/t FOB in the same month last year.
