Amid the upsurge in global flat products prices, CRC manufacturers in India have followed the trend and increased their export offers by USD 80-100/MT.
Currently CRC is being offered at USD 450-460/MT, FoB India which was being offered at USD 350-360/MT few days back. However, SteelMint has heard that no trades are being carried out at the current rates.
“Indian sellers are making CRC export offers at unreasonable prices just to create a hype in the market. They are getting better sales realizations in the domestic market and are making export offers on a superficial basis”, quoted a export trader based in Mumbai.
CRC offers from China are heard at USD 405-410/MT, FoB China whereas offers from CIS countries are assessed at USD 440-460/MT, FoB Black sea. Korean/Japanese sellers are offering CRC at USD 440-450/MT, FoB basis.
No firm export offers are currently being heard for HRC from Indian steel players.
