Brazil: Samarco plans to reach 60% pellet capacity by year-end

Samarco is planning to reach 60% of the pellet production capacity by end of 2024 and 100% by 2028, BigMint learned from company’s press release. The early reactivation of plant P3, ahead of the previously set schedule for March 2025, will boost production volumes. Notably, operations were suspended for nearly five years following the collapse of a tailings dam in November 2015.
