China’s coal output up 2.8% y-o-y in Jul’24

China’s coal output increased by 2.8% y-o-y to 390 million tonnes (mnt) in July 2024. However, though output growth slowed by 0.8% from Jun’24, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). From Jan-Jul’24, output reached 2.66 billion tonnes (bnt), down 0.8% y-o-y.
