Export offers in sponge iron displayed a mixed trend this week. Overall, buying demand from neighbouring countries remained moderate. However, Nepal saw a slight improvement in bookings, with prices rising by $3/t. In contrast, demand from Bangladesh remained muted due to ongoing disturbances. Approximately 7,500 t of sponge iron deals were concluded for Nepal, with prices ranging between $345-$348/t CPT Raxaul.
