INDIA: RINL shifts Pig iron export tender to the 15th of Oct on weak response

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a state owned and one of the largest Pig Iron producer and exporter in India based at Vizag, Andra Pradesh, floated an export tender of 30,000 steel grade Pig Iron on the 20th  of September. 

“The response from international buyers, on the 3rd of October was not good  as Pig iron prices are quite low in the international market and demand is weak too. 

Hence, we have shifted the tender for exports to the 15th of October”, confirmed a senior official at RINL.

Last tender fetched $410/t FOB Vizag Port, he added.
