South Korea: POSCO, Hyundai Steel to undergo major repairs in Sept’24

South Korean steelmakers POSCO and Hyundai Steel will begin major repairs to their cold rolling plants in September. POSCO will begin repairs on its Gwangyang cold rolling mill in September after completing major repairs at Pohang and Gwangyang Steel works. Hyundai Steel’s cold rolling plant in Dangjin will undergo a 45-day maintenance, impacting South Korea’s steel production and could impact global steel markets.
