Secondary rebar manufacturers based in Madhya Pradesh and Hyderabad have changed/revised gauge parity from 16 Mar’16 and 10 Mar’16 respectively.
Secondary rebar manufacturers based in MP have changed gauge parity, keeping base rate now for 28 mm, which was earlier 20 mm.
SteelMint also spoke to a large rebar manufacturer based in MP, who stated that there are about 6 rebar manufacturers in MP (three each in Bhopal and Indore), who have changed gauge parity, keeping base rate for 28 mm now (w.e.f 16 Mar’16 ) which was 20 mm earlier.
Presently, rebar manufacturers based in Indore offering 28 mm material in the range of INR 31,000-31,500/MT (excise duty and VAT included).
Recently, secondary rebar manufacturers based in Hyderabad have also slightly increased gauge parity for 10-25 mm by INR 100/MT and kept unchanged for 8 and 32 mm w.e.f 10 Mar’16. Prior to this, gauge parity was revised on 31 Dec’15.
SteelMint also spoke to officials of Keshree Metals, a rebar manufacturer based in Hyderabad, who stated that there are about 15-17 rebar manufacturers in Hyderabad (Telangana), who have increased gauge parity by INR 100/MT for 10-25 mm and kept unchanged for 8 and 32mm w.e.f 10 Mar’16.
Presently, 12 mm rebar prices in Hyderabad are assessed at around INR 26,000/MT (basic price, excise duty and other taxes extra).
