China: Steel billet prices edge up by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d

Billet prices in Tangshan inched up d-o-d by RMB 10/t ($1/t) to RMB 3,070/t ($428/t) on 9 Aug’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
Improvement in rebar futures and stability in finished steel prices have supported billet prices.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Oct’24 delivery) rose d-o-d by RMB 23/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,277/t ($457/t) on 9 Aug’24.
