Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 8 Aug’24. HMS (80:20) prices stand at INR 34,000/t ($405/t) ex-yard. Average trade activity was observed for semi-finished and finished steel during the yesterday’s trading session in the region. Additionally, moderate buying inquiries for scrap by Bhavnagar-based IF steel mills prompted suppliers to keep their offers stable today.
