Shyam Metalics and Energy’s stainless steel Performance: significant y-o-y growth in sales volumes with mixed m-o-m trends

Shyam Metallics reported a significant 219% y-o-y increase in stainless steel sales for July 2024, reaching 5,699 tons compared to 1,786 tons in July 2023. Average realizations also rose 37% to INR 1,37,857/ton. However, on a m-o-m basis, sales volumes dropped by 19% and realizations declined by 1%. The company’s stainless steel capacity is 0.3 MTPA. Meanwhile, Aluminium foil saw a 28% increase in sales volumes y-o-y, with realizations remaining stable.
