Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports drop by 19% in H1CY’24

In H1CY’24, Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports dropped by 19% from 519,072 t to 420,861 t in the same period last year.
On a m-o-m basis, imports declined by 34% reaching 52,056 t in Jun’24 compared to 79,051 t in May’24.
Imports dropped by 44% y-o-y against 93,614 t reported in Jun’23.
Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia were the top exporters in Jun’24 with 24,594 t, 9,900 t,6,782 t respectively.
