Tokyo Steel has recently announced a reduction of all grades in its scrap procurement prices with effect from 6 Aug’24. The company has lowered prices by JPY 2,000/t ($14/t) at its Tahara, JPY 2,500/t ($17/t) at Utsunomiya and JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) at Okayama plants, setting the new price at JPY 47,500/t ($325/t) each at all plants.
