Walsin Lihwa, Taiwan’s largest stainless steel wire manufacturer, has reduced prices for 300-series stainless steel wire by NT$1,000/t ($30/t) in August after six months of increases, as per SteelDaily. The company cited typhoon Gaemi’s flooding at its Yenshui plant, which caused a two-week production halt and delivery delays, but assured continued support for existing orders.
