Electrosteel Steels Ltd, based at Kolkata, West Bengal has planned to set up a 1050m3 blast furnace by November end which will increase foundry grade Pig Iron production. A blast furnace of 350m3 is operational currently”, shared senior officials at ESL.
“Steel grade is being sold at Rs 24,500/MT (Basic price) presently. We sell most of quantity in Jharkhand. Others are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Northern parts of India.
Our total production of around 700 to 800 tons is being absorbed by market on a daily basis. We sell around 20,000 to 25,000 tons monthly and in September this year, it was 20,000 tons”, they added.
