China’s Coke Export Increases by 57% Y-o-Y in Feb’16

China, the world’s 2^nd biggest economy, reported growth in coke export by 19% M-o-M and 0.32 MnT Y-o-Y.

China, the world’s top most Met coke producer and exporter, exported about 0.88 MnT of Met coke in February.

As indicated by most recent information discharged by China customs, the nation’s coke export jumped up by 57% in Feb’16 against the same month last fiscal and by 19% against Jan’16.

Coke trade from China with importers worldwide equated to 1.62 MnT in the initial two months of 2016. The quantity exported fell by 0.8% against 2015.

Indian Met coke imports

SteelMint surveyed that India, one of the significant buyer of Chinese Met coke, imported about 0.34 MnT of Met coke in Feb’16 in total. However, the country represented about 28% of the aggregate Met coke exported from China in the month. India imported about 0.25 MnT of Met coke from China and the rest of the quantity was traded by nations such as Poland and Japan. Remarkably, the nation’s coke import jumped up by about 30% in a month’s time.
